Thirteen hours to bring Toby home
Sarah Williams is a teenager whose theatrical imagination collides with the demands of caring for her baby brother Toby. A careless wish gives the Goblin King power to take him. Sarah enters the Labyrinth with thirteen hours to reverse it.
The maze tests more than her ability to solve doors and riddles. Jareth offers escape through fantasy, while new companions require trust and loyalty. Sarah succeeds by recognising that desire has consequences and authority can be refused.
Jennifer Connelly lets Sarah begin with heightened adolescent certainty before grounding each later choice. Her reactions keep elaborate creatures emotionally present within the scene. The performance gives the fantasy a clear movement from rehearsal toward responsibility.
