Drax is completely incapable of understanding metaphors, sarcasm, or social cues. His blunt, often deeply insulting honesty provides some of the greatest comedic moments in the MCU, masking a profound, agonizing well of grief.
Dave Bautista’s performance is a revelation. He brings impeccable comedic timing and genuine heart to a character that could have easily been a one-dimensional brute.
His relationship with Mantis and the rest of the Guardians highlights his incredibly protective nature. Drax proves that you can be the most terrifying warrior in the galaxy and still be deeply, beautifully vulnerable.
