Aiden treats newcomers as subordinates and dismisses warnings earned outside the walls. That attitude creates immediate conflict with Glenn and the other survivors. Their confrontation establishes competence as Alexandria's central test of leadership.
Daniel Bonjour gives Aiden the impatience of someone who has never examined his own security. His brief arc helps reset the show's social order after the road. The character makes Alexandria's weaknesses visible before larger threats arrive.
